Creating music should be fun and rewarding, but we all know too well that complex record and publishing contracts, long term release plans, or just the sheer pressure of being an artist or songwriter can easily get in the way of what we said music should be: fun and rewarding. Welcome to the land of the Arctic’s.

An outlet for creativity

Music is vast and top 40 thinking isn’t everything. Instead, we believe that music comes in many different shapes and forms. All we demand from the artists and songwriters we work with is the desire to create amazing music. With us, you can experiment with sounds, genres, collaborations and artist names.

To us, a true partnership means that all parties contribute and get rewarded equally. You bring the music, we bring the insights, guidance, coaching, distribution and marketing. Together, we share the work and we share the success.

We want you to focus on what you do best and we want you to let us focus on what we do best. We want you to bring the music and we’ll take care of the rest.

We both get rewarded

We only offer transparent profit splits to our artists and songwriters. That’s why we are launching a 50/50 profit split. No hidden agendas, no fine print, true partnership.

What we are looking for

We are looking to work with artists and songwriters from all corners of the world, spanning a wide range of genres. Primarily, we are focusing on instrumental music.

Instrumental music on streaming platforms has been booming over the last few years. A large number of users of these services (Spotify, Apple, YouTube etc) engage with instrumental/non-vocal music, mainly because of its power to create focus and mindfulness. We call this non-vocal music simply “mood music” and we are looking to partner with artists and songwriters who are curious about crafting the world's best mood music together with us.

Deal summary - the boring side

Below we are listing the highlights of our offering and how it works.

  • Non exclusive deals by default. This means you are free to work with others too. We believe in fairness.

  • We ask for a firm set of tracks + option for equal amount of tracks for each contract we sign together.

  • We acquire 100% of the master rights and if applicable, publishing rights too.

  • You bring the music, Arctic brings coaching, mastering, insights, distribution and pitching of your music.

  • We don’t pay any upfront fees, but we offer a standardized profit split to everyone. The profit split means that Arctic charges an administrative fee to cover all costs mentioned above and we share 50/50 on the rest.

  • We currently pay twice a year, but we are aiming to pay each quarter.
